Many of you have asked what you can do to help. One way to help would be to donate blood in Luke's name. Erika is working on the details of this and as soon as they are available, I will post them here.
Please wait until we have the details so we ensure Luke gets credit for the blood you donate.

We checked with South Texas Blood and Tissue Center and found info on donation replacement program at http://www.bloodntissue.org/documents/BBPBrochure.pdf. The folks at the center said you don't have to do ANYTHING special to start. The first donation with Luke's name, hospital, city/state on the form establishes an "account". All subsequent ones are added to that. When Luke is finally discharged, the center will reimburse portions of any blood charges based on the number of donors. Seemed easy, so we started an "account". There's a phone number on the .pdf for more info.
